Zük - "Mode of the Receiver"

Silly story, four in four
Numb and battered, sick and sore
Silver story, pendant gold
Ill by chill of winter's cold

Hey little girl, are you alone?
Hey little girl, have you got a place to go?

Hey Kitty, maybe we should shift back to yesterday
- It wasn't snowing then
I'm so hungry I feel my mind has slipped away
- Where'd my mind go?
Hey Kitty, do you hear the jingle of the sleigh?
- Dinga-linga-ling
I can't hear you, why'd he have to take you away?
- Away, away

I'm so cold that I could cry
But he will kill me if I die
Trudging through this snow so deep
This cold is luring me to sleep

Hey Kitty, I wish that you were with me here today
- Tied around my neck
But I can't see you, he's got you hanging on a peg
- Damn that man
Hey Kitty, I feel my life's begun to wane
- I've got Munson on my brain
I could come home empty, but if I do I'll get the cane
- The cane, the cane

Prince and Prophet, twists in time
Thieves who steal it all to rhyme
Warlock, witches, nooks and books
Keep the land of little crooks

I'm so cold that I could cry
But he will kill me if I die
Trudging through this snow so deep
This cold is luring me to sleep

Hey Kitty, I think I've slipped into a dream
- Maybe I'll see you then
All is dark here, not a single gleam
- I can't see a thing
Hey Kitty, I wish that we could shift back to yesterday
- I wasn't lonely then
When I have you with me, everything's okay
- Okay, okay

Hey little girl, are you alone?
Hey little girl, have you got a place to go?
