Growing up in rural Colorado, Evan Piquette discovered his first love for music composition at an early age when he was given a 13-key Casio mini keyboard. Self-taught, this developed into playing other various stringed and percussive instruments. During high school, Evan played briefly in a punk-rock band, accompanied the local musical theater, and gradually became captivated with electronica through the influences of his older brothers. He began releasing amateur electronic albums with his newfound passion during his college years under the name of Orchard of Hotels. True to his childhood nickname, Evan adopted the monaker Zük under which he released his debut album, "Mode of the Receiver," in 2021. Tracks from this album caught the attention of many, including the Wyoming Arts Council, who included Zük in their Spotify "Wyoming Roadtrip Playlist" two consecutive years. Evan has since composed video game music for Rebuilders Development and their game, "Forest Fantasy." Zük is now set to release a brand new album "Finity" this April. Evan currently resides in Wyoming with his wife and children.
